One Damn Thing After Another

Man, whoever trashed the Neverland Music Express offices did a really good job. Unless they have some Daddy Warbucks kind of guy behind the scenes, I don't think they're getting back on their feet anytime soon.

That's a real drag. They never wrote about me, but they really had good stuff about the local music scene. And I liked what they've started writing about OzCorp, too - those fat cats really need to diet.

I bet they got trashed because of those OzCorp pieces. Someone real high up got mad, and got their office wrecked to keep them quiet. That's pretty hardcore.

Hey, I just thought of something! Neverland Music Express = NME.

I feel like crap. I definitely don't recommend getting beaten up by a bunch of ugly mofos for no reason.

I have a very bad feeling, and it's got nothing to do with the mess that Dave Doncaster calls chili. (Rob, I suggest we take him off dinner duty for good.)

Things have been quiet in the City - too quiet. I mean, sure, the regular stuff goes on, but underneath it all there's something, sort of like a shark in the movies, when all the kids are playing in the shallows. I don't know what it is and haven't heard anything that might be out of the ordinary, but... yeah.

You heard it here first.

Too bad you couldn't make the football game last week. It was a lot of fun, and we could have used you at wide receiver. Or heck, maybe even QB. (He's a nice guy, but Vince Raven likes to go for size over speed or smarts. He's lucky I had all three!)

The sidelines were pretty interesting, too - Marian was there, for one thing. For another, she was sort of there with Paul Barlow. You know him, right? The lawyer who helps us out sometimes?

In other news, dang we just got more snow dumped on us. I wish I could just stay in where it's warm slightly less cold, but I gotta put on the snow boots and tramp around and check if anyone needs anything. Bundle up, fellas.
