| Bio: | John Edward Naylor was born poor, orphaned at a very young age, and grew up in St. Mary's Orphanage. It wasn't a bad place to grow up in when the bigger kids didn't pick on you; luckily, they didn't pick on John for long. Early on, he learned to fight with his brain as much as with his fists, and to stand up not just for himself but also for those who weren't strong enough to do it on their own. Eventually, he outgrew his childhood nickname of "Little John" (although it still stuck; "Big John" hadn't left the orphanage yet) and the bigger kids were forced to pick on someone their own size. Little John lit out of St. Mary's as soon as he could. He was big for a teenager, which got him jobs doing heavy lifting and, later, as muscle for any outfit that needed someone to break heads. He was working in one such crew when he crossed paths with Robin Locksley.
